Default Softail Custom - Progress (pictures)

New pics of Softail Custom. Dropped rear end 1", swingback bars, etc. New front wheel in "transit" [sm=boohoo.gif] Decision to be made on mirrors (cannot see much past shoulders with stocks) [:'(] Seat - undecided, the stock is very comfy but ugly [sm=confused06.gif] As it's European, not much choice in pipes yet so have to wait a couple of months [sm=sigh.gif]

So far, this bike is better than I ever dreamed it could be. Just need some reasonable weather and more free time [sm=violin.gif]

Nice job. Bars are hot.
The seat needs to be tossed into the dumper, I agree.
If you like the king/queen thing that bike has going on, The MoCo has a better looking seat available that isn't so "Michelin Man" like. A solo would look HOT.

What front wheel did you choose?

George, the wheel on order is the Chrome Slotted Six-Spoke (looks like 12 spokes). I was thinking about the retro king/queen you mentioned, hadn't give much thought to a solo, till now .... many thanks for your input that's a worthwhile idea to consider.

Love it, the pop up gas cap looks good on the black tank. Bars a nice too, who made them, HD?
How do they fit you, I'm in the market for a new set. I just can't ride very long with the mini apes.
My right hand and arm starts to go numb too fast for my taste, and I need some new bars that come back farther and are not as high.
Those look like they might be something worth looking into.

Hi Citoriplus,
The bars are HD Swingback, fit my short arms fantastically and make for a real laid back ride [sm=biker.gif] - the opposite of what I was used to. Many thanks.

The bike is coming along great. I like the look of the stock seat. Am I the only one that likes the custom's stock seat?
