Jester

That translation is f***ing hilarious. Internet translators SUCK.

Regardless, it looks like we have yet another Sportster and a skinny "Fat"boy, which is kind of a misnomer, yes? Seems that after the conversion of a few Softail models to the 200mm tire (Train, FB,etc), the MoCo is now trying to lead the "back to skinny" revolution.

To be honest, 240 is the WIDEST I'd go on a rear. Anything over that is, to me, ridiculous and makes for shiatty handling.

Blackline has a skinny tire also. Fads come and go, must be time for the fat tire to go.

I like both of them from what little you can tell from the pics. The sportster seems like it would be a cool 2nd bike.

I actually keep coming back to that photo to look at the Slim.. I hope it's as good looking in person..but look at the placement of the rear reflector.. it's about a 20% gain in pain-in-the-*** to remove now

I found a page about these bikes in Spanish and used the online translator. Not much more info. but the second half of the translation was funny.

"The Harley-Davidson Sportster 72 will not come alone and that the American brand has been stretched to reveal a new Softail, named Slim and has everything you could ask a bobber."

"Not too far from what the Fat-boy , although it will be time to crumble when we know more of its mechanics. At the moment, a bit cheesy advance the marketing strategy of the brand"

i don get the slim name yes it is smaller rear of a blackline but it is still the fat up front from a fatboy. but it is not that bad of a bike if only it had the blackline dash or center fill gas tank.

It will be a sad day when Harley goes H2O. I live in florida and I still dont want a "Honda water cooler" in my bike. Those who are happpy about the possibilty should go ahead and tun in their man card and get the GOLD WING. Plus I have rode on the dark side before and when that radiator fan kicks in while your are sitting at a red light it is way hotter blowing directly on you than a harley ever is.

They should have brought back the original "BLACKLINE" the NightTrain.
