you might want to post on the touring side, those guys know more about radio stuff. There are plenty of guys with Road Kings that could hook you up with some advice. As stated before, welcome home. If you need a place in colorado to crash along the way, let me know. You can park your Deluxe next to mine. Enjoy your trip

if you are on a budget, try the Pyle 600 watt system..I just installed a set on my handlebars..they are pretty small 2" each..hopefully they will work out..i am running short shots with no baffles but i think the 600 watts will make up for it..I wasnt lookin for bose quality either though..

check ebay..they are around 120 bux!

Thanks for your service and a big welcome home!
I bought a set of the Harley speakers just to see how they would sound and I'll put it this way, biggest waste of 400 bones ever. They're nice around town but at highway speeds good luck hearing them at all keep in mind I run no shield.

Any suggestions on the Boom or any other speakers?

Appreciate it!!
Welcome home and thank you for your service. Hope you have a great trip. Don't know much about the speakers personally, but I have friend who has the HD handle bar mounted speakers. For what its worth, his sound pretty damn good and he's happy with them.
