Deluxe Vicla Build Is ON!

LMAO Well, as Forrest said, my exhaust brackets and shifter didn't make it today. The brackets will be here tomorrow I'm sure and the shifter probably Wednesday. But I can throw on an old shift peg to get a ride in!
I ended up racing to the post office to be there when they opened at 8 this morning to pick up my flawless-awesome brakes that I missed delivery of Saturday. Let me say, Joe at ***** Shiny is a standup guy and does some amazing work! Once he cracked the whip, the brakes got done asap. And really, four or five weeks isn't bad for getting chrome...a local shop quoted me 8 weeks on my riser clamp. lol
I mean this chrome is amazing...I wish my camera could capture the perfection! It's as stunning as the front lowers finish!
For the brakes, I didn't have anyone around to help so after feeling the master cylinder, leaving the top off, I took my handy syringe I picked up yesterday with some 1/4" ID and a piece of 3/8" ID clear hose and attached it to the bleeder valve. After pumping the front brake lever a few times, I used some painters tape to tape the lever, and then went around and opened the bleeder valve slightly and used the syringe to pull the brake fluid down.
After a couple tries at this, I just went the way I knew and cut a length of 3/8" ID hose, made sure the MC was full, attached the hose to the bleeder and put the other end in the bottle of brake fluid and pumped away. To finish it off, I kind of stretched out and nearly busted my *** give it a couple good pumps and while holding the lever, somehow managed to close the bleeder valve. But hey, it worked!
Anyway, on to some pictures.
Here's the front which is a simple process to mount the caliper. And to my amazement Murphy never raised his head during the bleeding process and it went smooth as hell! Again, I just wish the cam could capture the beauty of this project! Maybe when I'm done I can get my son to bring his high speed cam out.
Chap Check out this white wall baby!!! LOL Shotgun raised all the way up! Man, the travel on this is amazing and the speed it raises is incredibly fast. (I'll show you a short video in a minute. )
A little blurry shot, but I went with the HD rear axle nut covers.
This biotch is slammed! I love it! This Shotgun is AMAZING!
Hope the video works. More later! Thanks to everyone who has helped me along this journey, I'm almost there! Oh well, I tried, it still works, but you have to click the link..I'll have to figure out how to embed a video.

Oh yeah, I did work half a day today! Figure I'll take another half day when I get her rollin.
SoCal Yank - I've got the exhaust wired up with some speaker wire and a coat hanger but it burnt through the speaker wire!! It was a good thing I had the coat hanger as a backup. hahaha
Anyone got a tips on embedding video? I'm going to go search out some info on that I guess.

Man NC, that is some amazing work. I think it's crazy looking back when you first did your beach bars. That was like the biggest improvement to your ride. Who would have that those bars would have turned into a top notch vicla. Much props to you bro! Can't wait until you're done so I can have a new background pic for the computer. Haha!

Thanks man! I know that feeling all to well. The waiting is a killer! I never realized how much waiting was involved when ordering bike parts. lol I never dealt with much waiting with the cages so this was all new to me. What do you mean you have to make it first???? LOL I'm still waiting on exhaust brackets, shifter, and a couple other little gadgets that I guess are being made. lol

Dude, so much CHROME!! I love it man! **** looks sick. Wheels, Shotgun Shock, all the extra chrome... man, you must have added 500 lbs to that thing! Looks slick though, and regarding your comment about the paint, I say stick with your current color scheme when you go to paint the stretched tank. That black and white has always been one of my favorites.
I'm still keeping up with this thing, can't wait to see it done. And you guys are KILLIN me with the whiskey talk, I still have another month til I get back from this damn deployment.
