Call Tab at DB and he can help you with what tires are currently available as some like the Metz were in a back order status when I ordered. That ould have changed by now because i placed my order 3 or so weeks ago. You just tell him what you want and he'll order them in and bill you the tire and his services combined.
I went with the 18x3.5" rear and an Avon 140/70/18 rear tire. Several folks have said they went with 18x4.25" rear and 150/70 but it's a tight fit. I decided to play it safe with the 3.5" and 140 profile rubber. The 150/70/18 is the smallest Metz rear. Metz no longer makes a 140 profile rear in the 18" tire. But Avon and Perilli offer the 140/70/18 rear and a couple others I'm sure.
For the front I went with a 21x3.5" and the 120/70/21 Avon.
Wish we could multi quote on the phone but I'll say that's to the others who've posting this morning confirming the use of the beads. Mine are ordered and were shipped this morning!
Where did ya order the dyna beads from and how much do you need per wheel
I got mine from Rocky Mountain ATV or you could get them direct from Innovative Tire balancing. You need 1oz in front up to a 140 tire. 2oz in rear up to a 240 tire. If i remember corrcetly.
How close are you to rubbing in the rear on 2up riding and what rear suspension are ya running
Never ride 2 up. I am about 185-190 pds. Its close but there is still room. I don't think 2 up would be a problem at all. I've got the shotgun shock in rear which helps. I now have a 18x4.25 with a 150-70-18 tire.
Before,I had the stock 16x3 wheel with a Avon 150-80-16 tire. That was a tighter fit than my current set up. No rubbing on that ether. I had both the shotgun shock and Proggresive 422 shocks with the 16 set up and didn't rub once.
Its not so much the height you have to worry about .Its the sides (width of the tire) rubbing on the strut bolts of the inside of the fender.
