I've pretty much decided to get a Rocker and have a question about the Russ Wenirmont or any similar rear fender conversion. I'm still new to bikes and have a lot to learn. I'm just curious if any suspension modifications are needed when you go to a fender setup like this. I was also wondering if anybody knew if you can then put a seat on the fender instead of a passenger seat that hovers like a stock setup.
If it's the "no strut" meaning a strut is welded on the fender, then yes a passenger seat can be added to the fender.
No suspension change should be needed. You might end up with a moto-cross looking rear end if they sit like the Heartland fenders do on the stock suspension.
Cool things for clearing that up. What do you mean by motor cross rear end? The pictures I've seen with them on the bikes and the bike I saw in person was bad ***, I loved it.
The height of the fender vs. the tire.
The Heartland fender needs the bike to be lowered either with lowering bolts on the shocks or an air suspension to close the gap between the two.
The longer fenders hide it better than the short, (your back is going to get wet) fenders.
