This is why I went with the Deluxe. I preferred the '40's look to the '50's. It wasn't cheap to do but it works for me. Of course now I don't mind the spots and conchos one bit. Go figure. . .
The Heritage is not only a bike from the 50's . It's a mix. The cats eye dash is from the 30's and I love it. The studs and conchos are there because it's nostalgic from the years when these bikes were around . You can change them , but then why buy a Heritage in the first place ? I have bought many new Harleys in my past and always changed something to make it my own , but when I bought my new Heritage I looked at it and said this bike is perfect, I don't need to buy anything. The only thing that I did was install a quick release on the sissy bar and rear seat because I ride solo most of the time.
It's the stock seat but I have a Harley "Circulator" pad on it. Really helps with keeping your butt cool and halfways dry in the heat we've been having. They do work. My wife wanted one for her sportster and loves it so I got one too.
