Haven't seen this type of paint before. Is it a metal flake...something added to clear? Just now getting into painting.

forge.. its a tri stage paint which is 3 steps... you base it black and then there is a mid clear coat which has the metal flake in it and then a few coats of clear... what is does it help it keep the black look and then when sun hits it it pops and looks like metal flakes are coming out of paint... when people do silver pearl on black it ends up making bike look silver,,, i got the bike back together saturday but it was overcast so not good sun... go figure!! but here are a few from my phone. as soon as the 4 days of rain we are having goes away ill post another thread of some good ones

That a PPG product? I really want to repaint this vivid black 12 limited I have...I hate them f#%kin silver pin strips. I almost did not buy it because of them.
