When I first started riding I was told to image I was invisible ... 25 years later, I still do it. Without thinking really ... it's natural now.
That car doesn't see you and will pull out in front of you.
That car will change lanes right into you ... doesn't see you.
That car doesn't see you turning and won't slow down, he coming up behind you fast.
I watch those cagers ... I'm not paranoid, just prepared.

Quick, someone give this feller/female rider the hazards of the front brake. That is the best I can do. Each time I go for the lever I get flash backs of careful. Hope I can eventually get comfortable with it but cannot get it out of my mind how quick and easy it has dumped me. Been a couple of years but hard to forget.
There are no hazards to using the front brake, the front brake is your friend. But you need to be respectful when the tire is cold or on slippery surfaces.
(I learned the hard way, broken the left collarbone several times ...)
