I placed a piece of paper on each side of the fender before slipping the bar between the fender and struts to avoid any rubbing above the strut. Once in place, there's no contact with the fender above the strut. After mounting, I pulled out on strut and removed paper.

I like this sissy bar, it mounts behind the struts, although yours is probably easier to remove.

If your referring to the stock Blackline seat, its not bad. I like it but the longest I've rode it is about 2.5 hr. at a time. But I rode a hardtail from north to south and all over for 25 years, so they all feel somewhat okay to me. I have a Streetglide for out of state trips and I bought a 3-layer gel pad kit for it and installed it in the seat.

I was referring to the seat on the fat boy its the classic spring look seat, i really like it but dont know if its worth buying one.
