IMO se204 is one of the best came for stock 96 inch motor,I know people suggest woods Andrew ETC but I dont see how those cams are WAY better than se 204,the 204 have decent duration and lift ,pick hp near red line and also have plenty of TQ down lo RPM's,the 204 will go head to head with any other aftermarket cam if not outperform, and they sound great to.

I would like to hear the reasoning as well. As others will tell you on here, the 204 isn't necessarily the best cam option out there. The price is a little more forgiving then some others, but don't over look the Andrews or Woods grinds. I am not bashing the 204s as others have used them and dig them, but just wondering if you looked into anything else. Just because it says HD on it, doesn't mean its the best out there.

nevermind, seems like you answered it while I was typing. I will tell you that a buddy of mine has a 2010 street glide with the 103" and 204 bump sticks. My 96 with the 555s would walk away from him pretty well.

here is a dyno compressing 255 vs 555 I know 555 is making more power BUT
look at the specs
the 255 duration is near as the stock cam
vs 555 much more aggressive cam
if they compare the 204 vs 555 results will be so close.
now for the specs
stock cams
duration 216-220 lift 473 473
(se255) 211-235 550-550
(555 ) 242-242 555-555
(204 ) 236-240 508-508
