EDIT: It was p/n 53933-03 for mine. Found it in the old paperwork.
Thanks for the info. Another 5 minute bolt on turns into a 2 hour project. Gotta love HD and all their crafty ingenuity.

Thanks,

Yep, that's what happened to me. I thought it would be as simple as replacing the bolts and then popping on the sissy bar. Went to it the sissy bar on and it hit my turn signal in the bar. The relocation kit has different shafts, they are basically a skinnier bolt that allow room for the detachable sissy bar...or you can cut it like others have said.

The biggest problem I had was that I installed my docking bolts with blue loctite. The bolts apparently come with yellow loctite and when you add blue to it, it basically locks them down and the only way to get them off is heating them up with a torch. Of course HD doesnt tell you to take the yellow loctite off before putting the blue loctite on. :/ You have to clean them before reinstalling them. I don't have a torch so I finally had to take mine to a dealer. I let them deal with it and installing the turn location kit...cost me $230.

What is a deglosser? I'd like to this to mine. I've ignored them but it has always bothered me. Now I won't be able to leave well enough alone. Lol

I cut the sissy bar docking plates to allow room for the signals, then touched it up with black nail polish.

RIP- I used liquid sandpaper or denatured alcohol just to take any oil or grease off of them.

Tony- I did the same as RIP and cut the mounting plates on the sissy bar with a Dremel instead of moving the lights.

There are several threads on this that can help you. It's easy to do.
