putting the bike in the shop in a few weeks and trying to find a bad *** black to paint it. i was wanting to know if anyone has ever seen a bike this color black before...

 

The new 2012 models have a black like you are wanting. I looked at the Cadillac diamond ice black also. I ended up using House of Color gloss black with their ice pearl mid flake and mine came out great.

Well since you would like to know.. I was about 10 years old when grand father painted his 1939 Chevy coupe with a deep black paint with metal flake in it.. And have loved it ever since. But got the the gold leaf from you, I mean the old fire trucks.. If you must have credit I will give you some. Your bike is a great looking sled.


The black pearl ice is hard to see do to it being on the bottom side of the paint job but when Texas gets a bright sunny day I hope to get better pictures. The white also has the same mid ice pearl flake in it. But we added about double the flake to it. A small cup size was almost $100 for just the flake.

 

My 09 fatty came stock with black pearl paint,looks bad a$$ in the sun. Get many compliments from peeps. Painted a new fender, sqealer parts mngr told me HD used hot hughes paint.....spot on!!!!

cadillac make a black diamond ice. its one the new cts and a few others really good color but not sure on a bike

That black diamond looks good.

Saying that it's just black mixed with flake is like saying green is just blue mixed with yellow. It's still black diamond
