Default Samson Make A '3 Step' True Dual System?

Just got off the phone today with Scott from Freedom Performance. He claims that their 'racing' system w/ 3 steps will add about 6 torque on top of my V&H Big Radius 2-2. Plus a couple hp probably even though in theory it shouldn't. Also he will black any pipe if needed. Following that call, my mechanic is very curious and agrees that if the product is sound I should see those numbers during tune with such a system.

With that said, I am very curious if Samson has a similar system.

I am torn between both makes due to Samson having more length options. I am very noob to this...I just want to understand my options before pulling the trigger.

Btw thanx Drew for answering a couple questions.

Cheers.

One of the things a person should be aware of in selecting a new exhaust is what will be the best torque can you get. It is the rideability factor. In our History as exhaust manufacturing we have made large diameter pipes and even stepped header pipes. We still make these pipes. For best performance for a stock or semi stock engine you need velocity inside the exhaust pipe for best torque. If you have a large diameter pipe or a stepped pipe the velocity slowed resulting in decreased torque. If you have a larger displacement engine then a stepped header is best to go with for flow. On a stock bike a stepped header will decrease velocity and torque numbers will drop. Many of our customers do not care about the dropped torque in the larger diameter pipes because they sound so good to them. For best performance on a stock engine stay with the 1 3/4" diameter head pipe for more exhaust velocity and increased torque numbers. Once the 1 3/4" head pipe reaches about 30" in length it can be increased but only if a baffle is included for best performance. It doesn't really matter which brand name you choose as long as these basic criteria are met. I hope this information helps. Please excuse my rambling.
Thank you,
JR

JR as usual has all the info. Thanks. I did not have the answer to that one.

Awesome.

Thanx!

Well I saw vids with Samson 3" or 4" baffled, still sounds good to me. Once I get the tins on the bike pretty quickly, I will see what Samson system works. Torque and back lines is what I am after.

Do you honestly think you will notice 6ft-lbs of torque? Sure, it will show up on a dyno but seat of the pants, no. Are you running strictly on the drag strip? Probably not. Looks first, 6ft-lbs second.
