Default trying to figure out which bore kit i have

mech said so far he can tell the piston is a 4", not sure if he is rounding up from 3.9 or not. need to get s/n off jugs but havent had a chance been out of town. cams are s/e 251s or 255s not sure which. like i said. with either one of those cams which kit would a 4" piston put me at like a 98" or a 100+" kit? dealer had no idea other than it had work done. its the bike in my sig and had a spring go so during tear down we found all the stuff.

Cams don't effect the engine size. Most big bore kits for the TC88 made 95"/96".

i was wrong SE 258 cams, piston size is 4" piston, jugs didnt get to pull a serial off of not sure where to look. so its either a 95 or 98 not sure which i think any other thoughts from anyone else. i know cams dont make that determination just trying to figure out with that size piston what kind of bore kit im looking at so i can know for me. and if i ever sell it.

The jugs could be OEM but bored so there may be no info off of them.

the OEM stroked TC-88 gives the following bore / displacement

3.875 = 95ci

3.939 = 98ci

why not see if U can find out who owned it before U got it... then U could ask them what was done.

Can't be 4" bore; has to be one of the above unless cases were bored and if cases were bored the bore would likely be 4.125". Any machine shop wtih bore gauges and micrometer can determine bore.
