Just by lookin at Iowa Craigslist, there is several pretty nice lookin bikes under 10,000. There is an 06 for 10000. Now that I saw the pics, I agree with XARAN. Looks rough as mine!
Keep in mind, good paint is not cheap.

Not very much without the stock motor. VIN numbers that don't match are not good for resale. I'd stay away from it.

Resale without the original engine really brings the value down.

2002 Deuce are valued at $ 7200 -8700

If it makes you happy and you want it. With a Revtech Engine at best offer $ 4500.00 providing it runs very well, In reality Id start closer to $ 3500 and dont go over the cap.

Remember that if you wont be happy until its painted your going to be in it around another $ 2000 or more so now your at at $ 6500.00 which is close to resale for a bike with orig engine and everything has extras on them.

Maybe some one built the bike? Engine should have a MSO on it. I dont think you could get hurt for 5k. The motor, if in good shape is probably worth close 3k
