A lot of after market pipes are designed to fit a bit tighter than the stock headers. I found this out with the Rush 2 into 1's I just installed. I inserted the rear header and then really had to pull to "stretch" the front header into place. It pops in there, unlike the stock header which just falls in. Also, I tried using the Screaming Eagle gaskets and they caused exhaust leaks because they wouldn't seal. This was my fault because I didn't notice that the instructions implicitly state using the stock tapered gaskets with their exhaust for a leak-free fit. It was my fault and caused a couple more hours of work, but I learned from it.

I had the same problem when I put my current exhaust on. I had a couple of hours of serious WTF time. Then, I realized my stock gaskets were still stuck in the head. Had anyone else been watching I'd have felt a little sheepish.

Can anyone confirm the torque specs for the exhaust flange bolts for a 2012 FatBoy? I am coming up with 100-120 inch pounds for 2011's with the 103.
