Now come the comments from the Left coast crowd. Wouldn't be able to ride some of there bikes on the back roads in the real world. Not sayin anything bad about anyone or anything just sayin its done different over here.

This is what is making my decision difficult. I helped him with the process of his transformation and now it is my turn. I don't want to ride next to him and feel like I should have gone 23" every time we ride, although we rode again yesterday and his bike definitely shakes above 70mph. It looks killer but it has definitely changed the handling at speed, and I ride too much to jeopardize that.

 

We're in South Florida, so that's not a problem for me either.

 

I ride year around here to, once the plows go thru. Been west, rode there and you can keep it. I'll ride where theres some real riding.

 

I don't know who or what was done to your buddies bike, but obviously something was not done correctly to be dealing with a shake at speed. I do know that with a properly done job, thats not an issue. There are alot of companies out there selling raked trees and people just bolt them on without taking into consideration the change in trail and how it will effect there handling. There are alot more factors involved in final trail besides rake.(frame height, neck angle, fork offset, fork length,etc..)

 

I wonder what a big fat spoke 23 would look like under a modified classic style fender like mine. im not against the size but Im not a huge fan of billet mags and i have kids so money is always a consideration for people who work for other people.

I like the wheel Story has but it looks kind of naked to me with such a low profile fender. Just my taste I guess.

 

I for one think a fat spoked 23" would look great with a 23" bagger style fender. If the ol'lady got her way thats probably what would have been on my '09.
And money is a consideration for people that work for themselves too. Sometimes I miss wrenching for someone else. A lot less headaches.

 

Hogpro has one on their website, but it doesn't look good with the stock fender IMO, it's just too small for the diameter of the wheel. If you had a modified one however, from like Klock or Sinister, that would look BadAss.

 

I gotta be honest, I stayed with the stock 16's on my Deluxe. I love all that rubber out there. I did however just drop it an inch in front and back but I did put the progressive gas monotubes in the front and it really rides sweet Dude, I am very glad I did it.
