Default Anyone with a 140/70/21 on a Fat Boy?

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on some new wheels, but I am still on the fence regarding size. I was thinking it was between a 21" or 23" front with an 18" rear, but after some research and witnessing my buddy's experience with the 23" on his FLSTF, I think I am sticking with the 21". But now I'm not sure what tire size. I am leaning toward the 140/70/21, as I know it will ride much better, but I am not sure if I can make it fit without adding raked trees to the front end. Anyone have any experience doing this on a Fat Boy, Heritage or Deluxe? I know I can make the 120/70/21 work with no mods (other than lowering), but I like the idea of a fat wide tire in front. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No opinions or suggestions?

How about comments regarding how you like your bike's handling with a 120/70/21?

I just want to make a good decision, it is not a small amount of $, after all.

I got the 140 on my FLSTF with no issues. it rides great with no clearence issues. i took my front fender off before the install and never put it back on, so i dont know if it will fit with a fender or not.

All I can say to you is that in no way am I disappointed with my new 120/70/21,
I'm not sure a 140 would fit in there with the fender on, but seriously I cant see the need to go wider, when it rides and looks as good as it does .

I am looking to get a new set of wheels for my 2012 fatboy. What is a good place to start looking for them?

Try Hogpro, CoastalMoto and Wanaryd. All are on this site.

That's good to hear. I was afraid that the ride would suffer somewhat with the narrower front and sidewall, but many people have echoed the same experience as yours.

Wait for it....... wait for it........

I ran a 120 on the front of my Train for about a year. Went to the 140 and would not go back (unless they quite making the 140)!

We run a 140/70-21 on a Roadking and it rides great. Definitely a little better than the 120 but we had to run a 23" fender to fit over it and then stiffen up the front end with heavy duty fork oil so the fender didn't bottom out. I would imagine your fatboy would be similar in terms of ride and fender fitment.
