Softail seats/back rests.

Has anyone used Bestem USA products? They offer a bolt-on backrest for softails for about $90 +shipping. I didn't see any reviews on it at their website.

Well I've put in here for 4yrs that I love my stock Heritage seat and that I also made the backrest for mine from the stock seat...
For my solo riding I took the stock seat that came with the bike new, cut it to 6' wide and then glued foam on it to make it higher then had it covered.
After buying the wife the bigger touring seat I had the stock seat gathering dust, so I took it and made my own back-rest/fender bib from our Heritage stock seat.
U can't buy one like this U have to make it, but its great for comfort on solo rides and it I made it to match the bags for good looks.
Now I can take off the pad and put the sissy bar and touring seat when the wife ride with me.
I too have shattered vertebrae in my back and its great to have the extra comfort when riding solo.

Here is my backrest. I do love it. I took a short two hour ride with it on Saturday. I would say that the one I got was a bit off on the tooling. My hubby is a bus mechanic so he took it to work to widen the bolt holes and shape one end better. It goes on using the seatbolts and has a groove for around the grab bar on the stock seat. I do love it and it may have been that mine just came slightly off. But I wanted to share that part. I cant get my attachment right side up. But you get the point. It looks good once on and it does work great.
