frenched turn signals
Put on frenched headlight and spot rings with no problem but can't get the turn signals to fit. Looks like the lenses are too big leaving about a 3/8 gap on the ring. Only solution I can see is to grind the lenses just a bit. Any ideas? I know this is pretty common so someone must have got it to work. Using J & P rings

Product reviews on JP's website show others had the same problem.
"They look great when installed except for the gap at the bottom. A little thinner foam would probably allow them to close completely. I had to trim about a quarter inch off of the foam to even get them on. Good quality and finish."
"Had to remove the foam and install thinner foam to get them to fasten. Still a 1/4" gap after the install. Looks pretty good though."
Seems like trimming the foam or replacing it with thinner foam may help. The HD rings come with an o-ring spacer that allows the trim ring edge to catch behind the lense and the ring to sit closer.

Sorry, I think I may have been looking at the passing lamp rings. Sounds like they go on the same as HDs. Are you able to get the back edge of the ring to drop in around the o-ring? I do remember something about aligning notches but it was a while ago when I put them on. If I get time I'll take a closer look at mine tomorrow.
