Default Carlini super sweeps for Deuce

I hope someone can answer this for me. Ive got a chance to buy a brand new set of Carlini super sweeps at a very low cost, but i am not sure if they are going to work, i have gotten conflicting information. They have a 7" rise and 9" pull back.

Does anyone have these bars? Is there going to be clearance issues with them because of the 7" rise? Carlinis web site doesnt say either way. The seller seems to think they will fit fine, one of my riding buddies says i need the 9" rise.

I hope someone can give me some help.

Thanks

BD

I do not think you will have any clearance problems at all. I am running Carlini lowdowns and they are only 5 inch rise with no problems.

BD - I have Carlini HH7s with a 7" rise and 7" pullback - no issues that I have experienced.

Hey RiggidyRaw, are those the slickbacks? Look sweet! I'm thinking of them for my '04 fatty. How do you like them? I'm just a little worried that they'll have too much pull back.

They are just right. I'm 5'9" and they fit me perfect.

The supersweeps need to have the 9 inch rise to work on a deuce. Otherwise they will hit the console on the tank. I have the 7 inch cleansweeps. I was told this by Carlini. Because the supersweeps are more pullback, the 9inch rise is about the same as the 7inch rise on the cleansweeps. You get the extra 2 inchs in the pullback. Does that make sense to you? Now, if you take off the tank console, they would work.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I'm 5'8" with a 32/33" sleeve. Sounds like they'll work for me. Did you get the 1-1/2" or the 1-1/4" bars?
Also, it looks like you have the nacelle headlamp. I have the same setup. Did you get something like this:

Cycle Visions Cover-Up

to cover up the gap in the nacelle?

Hey guys, thanks for all the replys. I talked with Carlini today, Super Sweeps with a 7" rise will not work on the Deuce.

So i went with the Clean Sweeps 11/2" with 7" rise, riser bolt hiders and wire cover.

Christmas present to myself.....

Now if santa brings whats on my list, its going to be a great winter modding out the bike......
