Default Need help with Rocker tires

I have been looking for tires for my Rocker and nobody seems to have matching front and back tires other than the dealer. Of course I am trying to avoid the expense of the dealer, any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a reason you want matching tires? I have a Metzeler Front ME 880 100/90H-19 Blackwall Tire and an Avon Rear Cobra AV72 240/40VR-18 Blackwall Tire. My front end feels more stable in the curves and the rear end grips the road better.

I put the Metz 100/90/19 on the front of my Rocker last year and love it! It also fills the front fender perfect! I am going to change my rear tire to most likely the Metz 260/40 18, BUT I recently found out about the Vee Rubber 260/35 18, which is a hair lower than the 40, BUT...even though it comes from a reputable company from asia, I can't find any reviews on it yet...makes me feel a little unsure. I've run the Metz on my other bike with great results. Some of the other folks on here have run the Vee Rubber front tires and I have not heard anything bad about them. Winter decision.

It appears that all of the online vendors have rear tires that are radials and the front tires are bias. According to the Dunlop company page, it suggest not mixing bias and radial tires. So, is this a problem or not mixing the two?

The composition of the tires is usually different. Most manufacturers do not recommend mixing brands... and I would agree with them.

That doesn't mean that you need to use Dunlop.

I am going to try the Michelin Commander 2's on my Nightrain next... supposedly better mileage.
