I've never owned a bike long enough to buy a new battery for it. I usually always sell / trade it before the battery dies. Call it growing up or a change of pace but I've finally found the bike I plan on keeping for a while and it was time to buy a new battery. I went down to the local harley shop and they got me for $140 for a new battery. WTF! i've never spent that kinda cash on a battery before!

I assume you bought an OEM battery: How long did the original battery last? Did original ever let ypu set? Did you have to shop for that battery? Did you have to wait for the UPS truck to del it to you? If it fails, do you have to send it back to vender and play the back and forth game? Certain things I wil buy from dealer and this is one of them.
Would you go to the Ford dealer for a battery for your truck? That's why you spent so much.
yes, you get what you pay for. over the long run cheap batteries don't last all that long. I've seen it so many times. I say spend your money where you want
