2012 FLSTC exhaust question
I know... another exhaust question! I have 2 exhaust systems narrowed down for my Heritage. First is the Vance and Hines Big shot staggered and the other is the Bassani pro streets turnouts. My question is which one will be louder and which on will create more power? I know that sound is a matter of opinion, but i wanted peoples view on which one will be better?...help! cant make up my mind! and which tuner is best.

Just one opinion-
Check to see if they actually make the Bassani's for your 2012 FLSTC
The V&H might be your only choice right now.

Pipes,,,,, between the two I'd think the V&H's,,,,,, cause they have the cross over that acts a little like a 2-1.... Around here V&H's are on 75% of the harleys,, expect mine.. I LOVE THE RUSH Sound............
As far as tuners,,, IMO, the son and I have had 5 of them.... hands down to us it the SE race tuners... but U need to get all Ur work done the first time U get a dyno to save money in the long run,
If U keep fruging with Ur bike all the time, like change pipes, change cams, change, change, change,, then a self tuner will pay off in the long run cause of the dyno's.

The Vance and Hines BSS are loud (painfully so). I added Smart Partz hardore baffles and the bike is rideable with no noticeable loss of power. For a tuner, I went with the Cobra Power Pro (auto tuner) - it adjusts 80 times a second or so they say. Its a good set up and my bike pulls better than my buddy's who spent way more bucks on a sert and dyno tune. I am quite happy with my set up and would do it again...paul

Thanks for all the opinions! I called Bassani and they have an adapter kit for around $12.00 (makes the 18mm o2 hole into a 12mm) that makes all thier 2008-2011 systems fit the 2012 o2 sensors. The footboard issue with the pro streets is wierd. They say they wont fit on thier website but they and other people have them on Deluxes and heritages with footboards??!! Waiting for a call back from Kurt(bassani rep) they were getting ready to install prostreets on a 2012 heritage. He also told me that they have seen mid 80's HP and mid to upper 90's TQ with tuner and high flow aircleaner. Wanted a little something different...prob going to get the Bassani's. Love this site. Everyone is a wealth of knowledge!
