Default 14" Wild 1 Outlawz Apes Fatboy

Pics of my 2011 Fatboy and the Wild 1 14" Outlawz Apes. I used the Burly cable kit and the Namz wiring extensions. The Molex connectors are different on 2011 Softails and 2012 Dynas. They are so much smaller so the pins on the wires in the Burly cable kit wouldn't fit. So small that I had to use a sewing needle to take them apart. So for $40 with shipping I ordered the Namz plug n' play extensions.

Very nice. On the namz, I'm not sure im understanding how you can get the plug through the bars for internal wiring. Do you have any pics of that? Is it true plug and play?

The ends of the wires unplug on the back bone of the frame. I unplugged them there. I pulled the wires through the bars then plugged in the namz entensions.

Looks good. Have been looking at the same bars,. Can you post more pics. From the front, rear, side... Interested how the bottom of the bars match up with the width of the forks also.

Looks beefy. I'm not much of an apes fan but I agree that it looks great on your bike.

For people who do not understand how to run the wiring internally on the bars, unplug them from the main wiring harness and take apart the connectors on the ends of the wiring. Run the wires through the bars. I use fishing line and a nut or whatever is handy. Tape the fishing line to the wiring and tie the nut to the other end of the new bars. Drop[ teh nut down from teh dimpled portion of the new bars. Shake the bars until it comes out of the bottom of the bars and pull the wiring GENTLY through the bars. Then you reassemble teh connectors with the wiring where it was before and plug the wiring back in. The 2012 models I am yet to work on so I am not sure on the specifics of them. Always draw a diagram of the wiring connectors and where each colored wire goes so they go back together properly.

I've done apes a couple times and wired internally, my confusion came with the namz extensions. Everybody says plug and play so I was thinking fir some reason I wouldn't have to take the connectors apart but I realize now whats up. Can someone explain why the namz is better than the extensions burly sends?

Default Namz extensions explained

the namz extensions just plug in to the molex connectors on the original wires. the burly wires require you to take apart the molx connectors exposing the femal pins. the male pins the the burly kit slide into them then you can place a piece of heat shink tubing over it and heat it so it shrinks the tubing. the othere end of the burly connector plugs into the molex connector you took apart the plugs into the plug it was unplugged from. Hope this helps.
