Default 99 softail wont idle

hi there my mate has a 99 softail 88 cube we changed the bars all went good tested all controls all sweet he took it for a ride it ran sweet then pulled up to give it a quick wash it took of sweet had a couple of misfires and then soon as he pulled into driveway it started to cough and splatter wouldnt idle and shut down , pulled dash panel of a bit of water in plug we dryed and cleaned out now it starts and runs a bit rough and wont idle and spitten a bit of **** out of carby, its been a week and still doin the same thing ,,,,,,,would any body have any ideas....cheers dan ...

Take the bowl off the carb and clean it... New gas.. Check the plugs...

Take the controls off and check for pinched/shorted wires. You guys may have pinched a wire when you put the new bars on.

I would start around the killbutton on the r/h side.

Plugs are my guess. Easy check. If you have another set swap them out and see what she does. I have had plugs go bad for no apparent reason and it did the same thing.
