Do we even have an "East Coast" Style? I think we make our rides our own and not copy one style. Let's show the Left Coast what we got.
I live in NC about 2.5 hrs from the actual East Coast. I've been in a couple bike shows here that actually have a "West Coast" or "So Cal" Style category.
As you stated, apparently there is no "East Coast" Style but... The way I understand things a "style" is created is by creating a look that many will follow and duplicate. So, by having alot of individually looking bikes there can be no particular "style", East Coast or otherwise.
Personally I would like to see an "East Coast" Style unfold.
My bike is my style.... I have always like true duals... That's why I was always drawn to touring platforms... Then I figured out softails could be dualed... I in fact hate the term or opinions, Cali style... West coast etc....
But bags, apes, duals... Lowered... Black and chrome are always my likes...
Whatever style you wanna call it.... It's mine and I like it!
thats Atlantic City in the background about as far east as you can go before you have to break out the oarlocks!!!!!!! And I havent found any in chrome yet so I wont be taking her across the Atlantic just yet.
My bike is not really custom, but I am in Myrtle Beach, SC. Ya know the place that has a spring rally but never gets talked about unless it a pile of chit!!
