Thumbs down Reatr Struts For Fxst the Same As Rear Struts For Fatboy of same year?

I have an 02 Softail standard. I replaced the rear fender with a fatboy long fender, and the rear struts from the bobtail fender do seem to fit. Do i need to get some from a fatboy fender? or do I need different hardware? or Struts off a fatboy?

Are you sure the Fatboy fender is from an 00-06?

What doesn't fit? The width, or the holes don't line up?

Yes the fender I installed on My Fxst is From an 05 fatboy, the only problem is in the rear of the struts, it leaves a gap, Im not sure maybe can use longer bolts? or IM wondering if the fatboy sturts at the rear curve in more?

Put some pictures up. I can't picture where this gap is. The struts for a fatboy won't curve any. Only difference between certain struts were the amount of holes for saddlebags.

I'm pretty sure on my '04 heritage there is a small gap at the rear of the fender strut.

I put the 2005 SE Fat Boy struts on my Night Train and they fit the same. Of course I powdercoated them first.
