Ride as deep into the season as possible. This morning 53 deg. Last week one day in the low 40's. Leather jacket and mechanic gloves. Was a little chilly. Lookin for a good deal on a FF and the ever argued about chaps. So I can ride more. Some mornings its a tuff decision ride or drive truck with heated leather seats.......

I have a 50 mile round trip to work. I normally will ride until it gets just above freezing. I have the Airlite engine guard chaps and those make a big difference in the sub 50 degree rides. I will ride no matter the month if it is not iced over and above freezing. My ride in is on country roads.

I also have to be dressed up for work and that is a challenge at times. I cannot wear knit hats and have to be careful with my leather chaps and what pants I can wear. I do keep my sport coats at my office. However, it is worth the hassle...I get to ride and save two gallons of gas each time!

I ride all year long. I still ride in the rain a little, but if I know it's going to be raining hard all day I take the car. I'll ride as long as it's above freezing, just have to wear the right gear.

Knowing winter is comming to N.J. soon I was finally motivated this weekend to finish my project. I broke out the dremel and grinded down those used touring bike lower fairings I picked up last winter to fit my Fat Boy. Well to my surprise it worked! That combined with my Memphis Shades detachable Batwing I am set to get way more riding time right into winter.
Now When I went in to work this morning it was in the low 40's.
When I leave work it will be in the low 60's.
Looks like a nice day to ride to me.
All I will need for a while is just a sweatshirt.
Maybe by November I might need a jacket and gloves.
This year, I will ride her till the snow and salted roads come around.

I'll ride till I can't take it anymore. When they coat the bridges with that snow melt crap thats it for me that crap is bad for bikes. and cars for that matter. That will be soon if the forecast is right they are calling for snow up in mass for the weekend. I'd love to be able to ride all year
