Default solo seats

Just thinking about getting a cool solo seat for 99 softail, who's got what and what do ya think looks the best and is the most comfortable for longer rides?
Has anybody hinged springed seats??
That would be better for my back as my softail is dropped right dawn in the rear and some bumps feel like i'm driveing a hard tail.
Anybody has pics to share would be great, thanks all!!

Joe,

Check out Mustang products. Quality and Comfort. I run their products on both my bikes: a 17 inch Wide Touring with backrest on my Fatboy, and a Sport Touring on my Night Train.

Go on over to the NightTrain forum and ask Tx.Outlaw what he's running with the springs. He's always saying it's the best seat he's ever had.

Try the Ultimate seat as well, very comfy and backrest for long rides.

Le Pera Bare Bones Solo...of course you might want to look into an air tail with a seat like this.

Another vote for the Mustang wide solo seat. It turned my '94 FLSTN from a "2 hour" ride to an all day ride.

I'd love the look of the sprung solo seat. It can't be beat for "old school" looks, but be advised, you WILL sit MUCH higher off the ground than on a frame mounted seat.

With the C&C you will be lower to the ground and further back. My seat si an all day seat but there are som any factors taht contribute to people's comfort on their bike that must be taken into consideration such as weight, height, reach, bars, how they sit (slouched or straight up and down) and the list goes on. There is no one answer that will work exactly the same for each person.

I run the Danny Gray Buttcrack solo. It was a little stiff when it was new because its all real leather but now thats its broken in its very comfortable even on all day rides.

I just made a visit to the local upholstry shop. They added some foam here and there. Could have done a lot more if I wanted to pay for it.
