You might check out the auxiliary brake light / running light / turn signal conversion kit. You swap the yellow turn signal lenses to red, then they also work as brake lights and running lights. Turn signals still work as before. You end up with three bright tail lights that include three bright brake lights. It works with a simple plug-in dongle under the seat. Costs around $60.

I've got the light bar on my S/E RG standard. Looks nice, doesn't help much.

Since I took the Tour Pak off for daily riding, ( it has an LED Spoiler light too,) I've almost gotten tagged twice from behind in the dark mornings on the way to work in just the last 2 weeks.

Last Thursday I ordered the auxialiary Brake/Turn module through E-Bay and I can't wait for it to get here!

I have the HD run, turn, brake kit on my Heritageand it makes a huge difference. I also added two red LED puck ligts to the back , one on the sissy bar that is at eye level to most passenger cars.

Default Check out the HD LEDs

I had the module and BrightAssLight on my Sporty, but for the Heritage I went with the HD LED tail light + turn signal kits, which cost about the same. No module needed for run/brake/turn on the HD and it looks good. I liked the BAS but wasn't crazy about how dirt and rain could get in from the fender because the tail light isn't sealed in the back like the OEM. There's an adhesive-backed liner that comes with it that you use to plug the gaps . . . Makes it universal.

I installed the r/b/t adapter and the LED (HD) light. Makes a big difference.
