Default 2007-2008 Fatboy problems?

Hey guys,

Looking at getting a 2007 or 2008 Fatboy as a second bike. Are there any problems inherent to these years or anything you'd recommend checking out like cam tensioners etc

Just traded a 08 a few months back. I rode it a lot and it was a great bike, no problems.

They made the rear fender too short compared to prior years. The 07 front tire is not centered, spaced offset, corrected in 08. Has not created any problems though.

The 07 has had issues with the steering head bearing and a wobble. My buddy has an 07 and it has been nothing but problems. Also, the 07's have a weird offset on the front wheel where as it was changed in 2008. For my money it would be 08 and up.

'07 FatBoy here, still going strong. Never had the steering head bearing issue, and the front wheel offset is a non-issue as far as I'm concerned... doesn't affect the handling, or your aftermarket wheel options for that matter.

Love mine, and I'm sure you would also if you end up with one.
