Anyone put a 23 on ? Did you weld or just use triple trees . What else did you do and how do you think it rides ? Please post pics if you can .

You can fit the 23" on fine but the fender will not work. Kewl metal and Yaffe makes trees for baggers, I am not sure on the softails. I will check and get back to this thread.

WHOOOOo , I wanna know too. Wonder if you can just use trike trees? I know there is a guy n the other side that used trike trees and ran a 23 on a SG, and it looked GOOD.

Here is one option. I have to call them and see if there is just the triple tree option for the flst models. I am sure there is.

i read on here somewhere, you just have to rase the fender and you can't be dropped because the light bar would hit the fender.

That would make sense, or just scrap the front fender altogether. Go Bobber style. That is the most cost effective method.

Hot Bike article, an '09 Deluxe with a 23". Doesn't say he changed the trees, just new fender and lower legs and front suspension...

Hawg Halters makes a 4 degree rake for the softwood for the 23" wheel. I wa going that road but did not like how the trees add 2" to your fork tubes which causes the front look like it is up in the air. If they would make those same trees without the 2" raise it would look sick. Then you would just have to add fork suspension stops so the fender does not hit the light bar or brake line strap bolt. An if you stay with a 21" with a 140/70 21 tire it is the same size as the 23" wheel and tire combo. So I stayed with what I have even though seems like everyone has a 21" in the front now.

Interesting that the Ness lower legs worked on a Softail as they're just listed for baggers.

I got an email from kewl metal awhile back stating the kit does not work with softails.

Fire- I totally hear you with the 2'' raise . Kills it .
