So about three weeks ago I layed down my 07 dyna and the insurance company totaled it out. I could not afford to buy it back so I ended up with the softail standard I bought earlier this year for my wife to learn on. So I literally fell into a softail. I hated this bike at first, it felt too small for me but after some forward control extensions and mini apes (big ones to come this winter) i am starting to like it. I painted the engine today and think it looks pretty good. I upgraded to a night train for $7. Anyways I am gonna redo most of the bike this winter but heres a start.

 

looks great so far! what are your future plans for the bike?

 

I am gonna go with some road 6 custom 16" apes, powder coat my tins a sparkle copper, powder my sliders black, a new seat, lower it and I would like to do a 160 rear. I am gonna try to emulate Chaz's bike. I just foud out he is no longer around but I love his bike

 

So what's the wife riding now that you took her bike from her? Maybe she gets a new one?

I love those pipes. Bike looks great. Sorry to read about the dyna but you seem to be turning a negative into a positive.

Well when she gets the ambition to learn to ride i will take her up on that.
