Traded my 05 Deuce in for an '11 Street Glide and missed the Deuce for about the first 5 miles. Ah, a radio. And it's nice not getting hit in the face by every available bug on the road. Now I just wipe them off the fairing. I haven't cleaned my glasses all week and my helmet isn't trying to separate itself from head over 55 MPH. Really wanted one of those ugly Road Glides, but I'll settle for being 1 in 6 million with a black Street Glide.

I swap bikes next Tuesday, which is fine because the wifey and I are going to Vegas this weekend (hopefully I win big, then maybe I can keep the Deluxe too!) I got a VERY good buck for my trade in.

I have to say....City Limits Harley REALLY took care of me. They made the buying experience seem like I was talking to a group of my friends. The sales guy I was talking to on Saturday came in on his day off to work the deal with me.

I bought a Big Blue Pearl Street Glide with cruise control....no ABS or security.

You're bike is the end vision of my Deluxe.....but, I'd need another $10-15K to get it there. AND, I'd still want the SG, so I'm stopping with the luxe and gonna go on the glide!

Someday I might own a Road Glide (the only touring bike I like) but it will be my second ride. I can't see myself giving up my softail springer ever.

Based on your sentiments, you seem to be doing the right thing. There is no sense in spending money on something if in the end you are still not satisfied.

 

damn bro what do you buy? Gold plated parts or what? I bought my bike stock and barley broke the 5k in mods mark.
