Default Bad Vibrations

Hello fellow scooter enthusiast. This may be dumb question but you never know until you ask. The issue I am having is in 6th gear on my 2011 lo it vibrates like a SOB. So is this normal and if so how can I get rid of some of this vibration that doesn't involve balancing the engine?

The vibration is enough that it is loosening up parts all over my bike which seem excessive to me but this is my first Harley and this may be normal. It now has 3000miles on it.

Any insight will be useful.

What speed are you going at in 6th? 6th has a pretty good overdrive on it and if your going too slow it can buck pretty good. I got my bike with 8 miles on it and it has gotten smoother over time but was never so bad as to shake things loose

My guess is that you are shifting into 6th to early and lugging the engine. I wouldn't touch 6th until you are doing at least 65mph.

I usually go into 6th above 65mph. It vibrates no matter the speed in 6th.

Yeah I know what you are talking about, but that is not the issue. It is more a constant vibration above 65mph while accelerating.

caaraa, glad to see that copy and paste works for you. Next time be helpful instead of stealing other peoples words. Which seems to be what all of your posts are.
