The vibration is enough that it is loosening up parts all over my bike which seem excessive to me but this is my first Harley and this may be normal. It now has 3000miles on it.

Any insight will be useful.
Try the same RPM in a lower gear. If it does not vibrate, then the problem is not in the engine. If it does, then it is an engine/balancer issue. 6th gear is useable (on my bike anyway) above 55 MPH. I always downshift to pass unless we're at 65 or above. Harley's owners manual says it's ok, I won't argue.

When my Bones was brand new, I did not use 6th because at any speed I rode (<80) it felt like it was lugging. Then this year heading to Sturgis (2,000 miles) I figured out the issue. Gears 1-5 you feel the vibration in your feet and legs. Shift into 6th (above 65) and the vibration shifts to your butt. I found it comfortable at 70+ mph. Now I use 6th all the time!

Jake you are right on with your post. Had the dealer look at it and they said the same and that seems to be the harley vibration. Plus it seems to be more significant after a long ride when your body is fatigued.

I've got an 2011 Lo (7500Mi) and don't use 6th till at least 60mph. Mine defineitly does not vibrate enough to losen parts. Something is not normal.

Sixth gear was almost Useless till I put in the cams. Even the fuel mileage went down.

Night and day difference after the cam install.

Still U shouldn't have nuts and bolt coming loose Unless they are ones U have installed doing mods and haven't tQ'ed them or used the right loc-tite on.

5yrs and 36k and I've had one nut/bolt come loose. It was the shifting toe pad and did it once.

I would do as others in here stated, Take Her in for the problem and let U warranty take care of it.
