Turn signals... Removed front but want to keep rear??
OK... So I removed the front turn signals from my bike when I did the new front-end. Now the rears only illuminate and don't blink when I hit the buttons.
Has anyone here removed just the front pair, or just the rear pair, and been able to figure out a way to keep the other pair working properly???
TIA,
K.

Unplugging the front lights turned the flasher into a near open circuit.
There is not enough load in the remaining bulb to make the flasher work properly.
There are two ways out of it if you want to eliminate the fronts altogether.
The first is to hook up a load resistor to the empty plug under the tank.
You should put something in there anyway to keep the plug pins from corroding anyway.
Or put a load equilizer like you would for a LED bulb setup into the circuit under the seat.
If your handy with a soldering iron you could try to modify a dual element bulb (1157) with a little solder across the two terminals on bottom to fit the rear.
The dual elements should be enough to make the flasher work and as a bonus be a bit brighter than the usual single (1156) element bulb.
You might have to use a small file on one of the locking lugs to make it lock in.
But as cheap as they are it might be worth a try just for grins.

The price has gone up since 2011.. They are better too, last longer I believe... There are cheaper vendors for these items, but I am a long time customer of Custom Dynamics. They have top shelf products and some of the best customer support in the industry..
