yep, had a buddy a few years back turbo'd a sporty. that thing would scream, and run circles around the big twins. the turbo whine never got old to me, as i like the sound. i have turbo straight pipes on all my trucks and love to listen to the whistle. first time a friend rode with me he said it sounded like a weedeater whistling, lol

A few of the bikes we did with Turbos. The sportster destroyed the frame in the first few hours with the turbo 100 CI motor. Took it out and put back in the stock motor w/turbo as you see it here. A frame is presently being made which is a dual spar type as the owner races a Ducati professionally in Australia. The bike in its present form smokes the weekend Ducati riders in the turns. It only produces 125HP with the small motor and with the 100ci 165 Ft Lbs of Torque on the 2500.

This is what we did on two bikes.

A good friend of mine's 09 V-max was right at 200HP from the factory and now after the simple computer mods (sorry I don't know the specifics of the mods) he is dynoed right at 220. You just have to know what you are doing. There are lots of rockets out there that will put a world of hurt on our bikes. 200HP is not uncommon from a street bike. But it all comes down to rider knowledge and respect for what he has.

And that fatboy is badass and I would drive it in a heartbeat.

The other side of the coin would be someone with absolutely no sense of self preservation.
V-Max's were dangerous as hell in the hands of a newbe when they first came out all those years ago and I dare say they have not gotten any tamer since then.

I see this one and and its near twin brother all the time a the local ride ins.
They both have 4 NOS bottles hanging off them that get regularly used at the drag strip.

There are few, very few cars on or off the track that can go any where near as quick or fast.

You are certainly correct. Lots of newbies out there getting an R1 or something similar as a first bike. Very scarry idea.

That bike in your pic is just crazy.

Exactly lol

My friends brother built a mustang with 2700 HP. It had a Big block with Twin 88 MM turbos and ran 220 mph in 6 seconds in the Outlaw 10.5 class.

Not everything is made to race around a track, some are for the straight line. lol
