Default Fatboy, V&H FuelPak under-seat clearance

I installed a V&H FuelPak over the weekend on my 08 Fatboy. What should have taken 10 minutes, took me 1.5 hours. The instructions show the location for the FuelPak connectors and unit under the (stock) seat. Uh...there is no room for those connectors under the stock seat anywhere. I screwed around with it until I found a spot where I could actually get the seat mounted again but I'm concerned that the seat is squashing the connectors. Anyway...I want to put a LePera Bare Bones solo seat on but I'm afraid it might have even less clearance. Any experience out there...pictures?

I had a lepera silhouette with a Fuel Pack under it on my 08 FB. No problems, but it was a little tight.

I have a LaPera Silhouette two up on mine and the FuelPak sits on top of the battery with no problems at all.

I took my ecm bracket out and used velcro to remount it. I put the PCV just under it and everything fit perfect. Sorry no pic.

I have the bare bones and it fits better than the stock seat. I had to cut a slot in the bottom of the stock seat to get it to fit right.b The bare bones fit perfect.

Get a deeper ecm tray from fuel moto that they sue for power commanders. Then velcro it to the top of the ecm. That is what I did with my power commander and it has fit with multiple seats with no issue.

Thanks Drew, I'll take a look at it right now. I sent an email off to Le Pera asking about my set-up and this is what I got back:

"Mike,
I am not 100% sure it the seat will work. Our seats fit flush to the fender and the frame, so there is a likely hood they will not work. "

Best Regards,
Christine Le Pera"

Hey Drew..........you get a chance can you shoot a couple pics of the ecm tray........can't get my brain around what it looks like. I've got the same issue......I'd like a different seat but everything I have fits and I'm afraid a low profile seat would result in a lower/less clearance pan.

Fuel Moto claimed to be out of the boxes and I contacted DynoJet. I asked for a product description and they sent me the attached drawing. I'm not seeing how it will work in my 08 FatBoy but I'll check when I get home.
