Default What did you do to your Softail today?

If you did something, post it up.

I got a 2" tank lift and the instructions said if you're only doing the 2", you don't have to remove the fuel line and drain the tank. BS.

So I tried to put it on and the holes weren't big enough for the original tank bolt to go through and had to be modified. The other problem was that it also included holes for a 3" lift which left hideous overhang, so since I was already home, I decided to go big. I ended up doing a 3" lift. Pictures will be coming later.

Looked at it sitting under a cover in the parking lot while this damn rain kept me grounded.

I rode it

One of these isn't like the others..and that's good. Actually we all got parking tickets for parking there (I wasn't with them, just a bunch of people riding to the building).. all the sportbikes got $95 tickets, i got a $20 ticket, and the guy said it was because he liked American bikes. I said "I won't argue that."

I went up on skyline drive this morning and 20 of the 32 miles I was on the mountain I was in a cloud. Cold and wet. Seems like I'm getting my share of rain riding.

Thought about a 2" lift but didn't order it. Just ignored the bike.

I rode mine to work. However, I didn't need fuel this morning despite the poker run yesterday since I worked the run more than rode in it. However, Las Vegas Bike Fest starts this week with more runs, parties, and venders. I also removed the saddle bags and the sissy bar if that counts. Have to love those detachables.

Rode home in the rain, trying to get the gear dried out for the morning commute.

Not sure if it will make it or not. Might have to wear white tennis shoes.
