This is the Cam I was thinking...
  • Allows you to upgrade your 99-06 Twin Cam (except 06 Dyna Glide) to the newer roller-style cam chains and replaces the spring tension cam chain adjusters with the later-style hydraulic adjusters for longer life
  • Cam grinds listed are designed to be used with stock lifters
  • They require the installation of a 2007 cam plate, oil pump, cam sprockets and chains, and both hydraulic chain adjusters
  • These parts are not included and must be purchased separately
  • A list of required components is supplied with each set of cams
  • Performance should be similar to earlier bikes with the same cam grinds.

NOTE: 99-06 Twin Cam motors (except 06 Dyna Glide) cannot use the 2007 cams, as the bearing journal on the earlier motors is .875 in. in diameter and the 2007 cams are 1.000 in. in diameter. The "N" series of cams feature the .875 in. bearing journal, yet still accept the new style cam support plate.
NOTE: 99-01 model motors must use the Andrews rear cam sprocket - PART #140050. 2002-2006 models must use the stock rear cam sprocket, OEM # 25728-06.
NOTE: Installer must check coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance and valve-to-piston clearance.

FOR 99-06 TWIN CAM (EXCEPT 06 DYNA GLIDE)

37N GRIND CAMS
  • Bolt-in cams for 88 in. or 95 in. motors
  • Smooth idle, broad torque band
  • Run best with low-restriction exhausts (2200-5800 rpm)
  • Can be used with stock valve springs and tappets

Specs:
Intake:
Open: 18 degrees
Close: 38 degrees
Duration @ .053: 236 degrees
Duration @.020: 272 degrees
Valve Lift: .510
Lift TDC: .174

Exhaust:
Open: 46 degrees
Close: 14 degrees
Duration @ .053: 240 degrees
Duration @ .020: 276 degrees
Valve Lift: .510
Lift TDC: .148

I say the big bore because if you increase the compression it may change the cams you select.

You will most definitely benefit from a true 2 into 1 exhaust as well if you are seeking low end grunt. The D&D fatcat is my favorite for 2 into 1.

900.00$$ installed. I have to tell ya. I think its the best mod I've done. Wish I had done it sooner.
Makes my 88 in, just cruse at 85/90mph tacking around 2500/3000 rpm, it just purrs at
hi-way speed. smooth as silk.

Installed it myself. They call them cassette's now. the cassette cost 900.00 as I recall.

Bike runs at 85/90 mph, tach reads like 2500/3000 rpm's at 90mph. and just
smooth as silk.

Well... Since you already have pipes on the bike you should already have an air cleaner and re-jetted the the CV carb.

There never seems to be a disppointment with the Andrews 37 cams...

Yeah its either the Andrews 37 or the SE-204's. Not much of a difference.
