Default Handlebar Options for Night Train

I'm interested on what bars with more pullback can be installed on the NT without cable/hose/wiring changes. Mine currently has Deuce bars and risers but the grips are still too "straight out" for my comfort. I'm interested in conversions that maximize the extent of the original cables.

The moco #56029-00 conversion kit appears to be no more than 4 1/2" bent risers with a certain Sporty bar; anyone using this setup? Pictures?

(Update, I chose bars from a Softail Standard)

HD has a kit specifically for the NT. It's a pull back with new bars and brings them back 5" with a slight bend and uses the OE cables. Check the catalog, or web site, I don't have the part number in front of me, but they're only about $150 .

The problem with changing bars on a NT is always going to be the cables. Since the drag bars are so short, the OE cables are about the shortest of any in the Softail line...

I had the black sporty bar and didn't like them becuase they were too narrow. I quickly took them off and put some Arlen Ness 1 1/4" Flat Track bars with Built-In risers. They were internally wired with the original cables. You won't have a drag bar look but they are very comfortable -- definitely more pullback than stock NT bars.

Another option would be to get some 4 1/2" bent risers with the stock drag bars. The bent risers will make a big difference. I've sat on a bike with this set-up and it was very comfortable. Good luck!

I put XL1200 bars on mine, on Deuce risers. Less reach, great comfort, clears the tank, and all stock wiring/cables. I'd post a pic, but don't have a good one of the bars.

Originally I had 6 inch risers (4 up and 2 back) on mine and it was really comfortable to ride.

Hey, 245... Great looking bike! Is that an 18 on the back? As you can see, I did a similar look on mine, but with 16's front and rear. I like that rear fender, too.

JBT - Thanks ..... I have 18's on the rear and 21's on the front. If I had to do it over again, I may have gone the same route as yours. I like that fat front tire look.

Phat Train, who makes the bars on your train? I really like that set up!

I used Wild 1 chubby bars w500, internal wired, stock cables & brake line on my 05 Night Train. Probibly only a 3-4 inch difference in pull back, and a little wider than stock.
