Another option would be to get some 4 1/2" bent risers with the stock drag bars. The bent risers will make a big difference. I've sat on a bike with this set-up and it was very comfortable. Good luck!

I was thinking of doing this as well. But wouldn't it be a 6" bent riser?
Has anyone else done this to the stock drag bars?
I would like to get more input.
Thanx,
Scott

I tried this on my Train. I used the Deuce risers with the stock bar, which was better, but not enough for me. The bars also came very close to the tank- about 1/4" or less. I also tried some spacers to raise the risers (!?) about 1.5".This was also close, but Iwasn't satisfied. When I got the XL bar, I took the spacers out, and found it was now an ideal setup.

I'd advise trying as many different things as time/budget/inventiveness (the spacers I mentioned were sockets!) allow, before settling on something.

Jeff T,

Question for you on the xl1200 bars; do you have a HD part number of style. I could not tell from the picture, but I assume that they are from a 1200R or non-1200C bike.

Thanks,
Brent.

These are Carlini's 8" rise and 7" pullback at the grips. I'm 6' and are pretty comfortable for me. I used stock lenght cables and run the wiresthrough the bars, nothing left to spare.
