Talking Started the Winter Mod List

Since we've gotten about 4 feet of rain here on the East Coast, I've had a bit of time to sit down and formulate a plan for the winter mods. I know, it's a bit early, but I've got some free time!

So here's my list. It's quite a bit, you guys have been a horrible influence, but an inspiration at the same time. A year ago I would have told you my bike was done! I plan on doing the work myself, and just paying for parts. It's the most work I've done on it to date, but what the hell, I've got all winter!

1. Suicide clutch/Jockey shift - homemade setup with 1" forward control extension, save some $ for other stuff.

2. Drop front end 1" with Progressive drop ins. Already have bolts on rear, so I'll match that accordingly

3. Garage Leathers swingarm bag

4. Joker Machine serrated pegs, shift and brake.

5. DEI black exhaust wrap

6. Todds Cycle 10" chubby strip bars

7. Internal throttle - probably go with Streamline Designs

8. GripAce switch setup in left grip

9. Joker Machine brake lever and MC

10. Exile black knurled grips

11. Possibly new trees, we'll see what kind of funds I have left!

12. 1-2" tank lift

The plan is to clean up the front end, the bars will only have the brake lever and brake line exposed. While it's all apart, I've also got some wiring to clean up from past mods. I'd like to do something with that damn console, but haven't figured out what yet. Any suggestions?

I think this is the first year I've actually been excited about winter! Haven't done my own wrenching until this past spring when I did the fat front project, and this will certainly challenge me, but I think I can handle it! I'm no stranger to tools and wrenching, just haven't done much to my own scoot. I might actually enjoy it as much as riding! Well, almost!

Wow, you guys are starting early. I was reading about the Nash Sticky throttle which allows you to sort of have a cruise option. I am thinking about getting this one now as oppsoed to the Exile version. The price is a few bucks more but not much. It sounds liek you know what direction youa re going.

I can get you everything except the DEI wrap. LOL.

Yeah, it's been really rainy here, and I only work weekends (bartender), so the rest of my week is usually for riding. Until the world floods around me, then I just sit around the house and come up with ways to spend money!

I've been spending some time on ebay, found a few deals, but not too much luck with good prices. I'll put together some part numbers and get them to you for a quote. Can you get the Exile stuff too, for less than their website prices?

John.
