Howdy

I recently bought a 08 Softail Custom. I'm pretty short and don't have much reach and therefore would like to replace the stock risers with some longer ones to help bring the stock handlebars closer to me. I'd like to keep the stock cables on the bike for now. Has anyone replaced the stock risers on this model with 4 or 6 inch risers? What's the largest set of risers I can install while keeping the stock cables on the bike? I am thinking about getting some 4" risers with 1" pull back.

Old thread, but wondering what risers you ended up using to get your desired riding position?

 

put 4" harley risers on, 1" pullback, had to change the brake hose to make it work...

 

I got the 4" with 1" pull back. I got the riding position that I wanted...much easier on the arms and shoulders . I'm about 5'7" height. I'd didn't have to change any cables/hoses...just did some repositioning. Good luck !
