I am a new member to the forum. I am going to buy a Harley next week and can't decide between the fatboy or the lowrider. Can anyone on this forum give me any advice on the pros and cons of the two bikes. I was told that this forum is the place to ask any question when it comes to Harleys.

Depends on what you want the bike to do. Looking back i would have got a Softail.

Both are good bikes, sit on both ride both if you can and decide what do "you" wnat theh bike to be and do

 

I say fatboy...Welocoem to the forums...But that is jsut my opinion. I like a little bit bigger bike...

 

I would go with the Fat Boy.

 

I went from a Low Rider to a Heritage Softail, which is similar to a Fatboy with bags and windshield. I really liked riding the Low Rider and even think it was more fun, but the Heritage is much more comfortable on longer rides. If I had to choose, for my style of riding, I'd choose the Fatboy. If I could have two bikes, the second one would be a Low Rider (or a SE Dyna if money were no object).

Like others have said, depends on which is more comfortable to you. Are you going to be riding around town more or riding on long trips? If you can, find a LowRider and FatBoy and take them out for a test ride. Hell, I may just do that myself just for the fun of it.

I hear ya on the SE Dyna, j2dawson. That is one sweet ride!

 

go for the fat boy i just did put the lower shocks on it and have the best of both worlds.its just so much more hog!
