jaybird, I've heard of some manufacturing flaws about the 07 Fatboy. I wonder if anyone that rides one has had any problem with any inherit, built in problems with the front end, tranny, etc.

Is that a special order engine upgrade for the Fat Boy?

Blak Cherry Pearl

FATBOY
more comfortable in my opinion...wider front tire handles highway expansion joints smoothly.
seat more comfortable

good luck John

I am a new member to the forum. I am going to buy a Harley next week and can't decide between the fatboy or the lowrider. Can anyone on this forum give me any advice on the pros and cons of the two bikes. I was told that this forum is the place to ask any question when it comes to Harleys.
Thanks, jaybird
Ask the same question in the Dyna Glide forums and see what answer you get.

Hey Jaybird, welcome to the Forums.

Your comparing two bikes that couldn't be more differen't.

I have a feeling that Softail riders will suggest the Fatboy, Dyna riders will suggest the Low Rider and chances are most Tour bike riders will suggest the Low Rider also.

The Low Rider has a rubber mounted engine and the Fatboy has a ridgid mounted engine. There are pros and con's to each.

The Low Rider is a pretty small bike, whereas a Fatboy is a pretty big bike.

If you have the opportunity to rent or test drive the bikes I'd suggest doing so. You'll notice that there's a world of difference between the two.

Just my .02

A lot about buying a Harley is what kind of riding that you intend to do. For example, short rides, long rides, riding solo or double, in town or out on the open highway. I'm not an authority on either bike, but I would say that a good way for you to decide which one to buy would be to possibley rent each bike and ride them around for awhile and see which one feels the best to you. Each person here might have a preference as to which bike to buy, but it is ultimately up to you to decide. Good luck
