Default my bike in a shed

hey guys was wandering if anyone keeps there bike in a shed? Do you keep a dehumidifier in the shed with your bike? I was wandering because i have noticed little spots on my chrome. anybody else get these white spots to. they seem to come off with chrome cleaner but return in a month or two.

If it is a shed a dehumidifier is not going to do a lot since there is too much air flow, sheds are far from air tight. Get used to your bike corroding or buy one with stainless, plastic and aluminum trim. I don't know why but certain parts of my bike like the chrome on my stock exhaust have rusted up like crazy. Another option is to put some roof vents in your shed to increase airflow. Where is the moisture coming from? Is it a dirt floor?

I keep mine in a shed all year except for winter, when it gets moved in to my dining room. No rust, not rot, nothing.. maybe a bit of dust, but i keep mine under a set of bedsheets to keep the dust off. it's not a metal shed either, it's a big wooden one, built by the Amish.

maybe it's just metal retaining heat, cooling off at night, and getting some morning dew that leaves water spots.. if it rubs right off, it's probably nothing to worry about.

That would be like throwing a towel into a pool and expecting to suck up the water

I have used Dri-Z-Air for years in my workshop and fitness room. It is cheap, requires no electric, safe, and works. It mainly was designed for boats. I keep a classic one next the bike and also around my tool boxes and it helps during those times when the weather changes and everything metal seems to has moisture on it.
